Changed Rooms

I am now in room F-341. Phone: 650-498-3851. They gave me a private room because I have some kind of staff infection that is highly contagious, and I cannot have visitors until they know exactly what it is. As soon as they find out, I will have the correct anti-biotics and will be able to be released. The doctor looked at the wound today and said it wasn't as bright red and infected as it has been, so things are progressing.
Quincy's family is going to Arizona for a week, and Kelly is involved in a fund-raiser for her pony club in Tehachapi, so it will be quiet for awhile.

Hi Carmen --

Good that yr getting the best possible care, despite the temporary restrictions on visitation. Hope yr botanicals provide some company !

Last nt, on-stage at Paliku Theater, as I listened to the latter portions of the 13-part "Blackbird Variations" that I was there to narrate, gazing up at the bright lights (so shocking for a lil radio studio being like me), I thot abt YOU, & felt such strong, massive, deep-seated energy & emotion -- I sent it out across the klieg lights, up the stadium-ranked seating, past the carved-koa heliconia & lau`ae fern on the walls, out thru the rafters, over Kane`ohe town, across the bay, & on out to YOU -- full of gratitude for being enveloped in live music, & connected to wonderful musicians that know the whole world thru their artistry -- that would be YOU !

It was such a meaningful long moment to savor -- I hope its psychic product contributes to your incision healing & your spirits remaining buoyed up.

Much love & aloha,
jec/2T

Was hoping to get up to see you today when I went to Los Altos to take my mom to the Dr. Glad I didn't, if you are in seclusion! I'm glad it feels like a botanical garden and that you are being treated well.
Took my mom to the Dr., to Target, and then ate dinner w/ her and a very sweet couple. Miss you and pray for peace and relief from anxiety for you. Love!

Hi Carmen.....
Easter Sunday the church was filled with people.

There was a cascade of green ferns and purple orchids from the cross. I felt like I was looking at Gods giving heart.

Donnas halau(sp) danced...her grandaughter too,and later during the potluck afterward, Donna.

Sam sang with his son, and his band.

Bethany's "Soul Surfer" is almost in the can. The Hamiltons said it has been a long haul, but God has made it happen and they like the result.

Since i heard you were operated on I am praying for you. I don't do well with ANY pain.

I am reading Hinds Feet on High Places. It seems like pain has its place in God's hands.

I hear the Lord in your voice. I am thankful He is with you there.

Your room looks the way I immagined it and I'm glad you are receiving such good care from the hospital and loving visits with your friend and family.

My piano playing is infantile ha ha. i am storytelling at the library on Saturday and playing This Old Man and Shoo Fly. We'll make shakers. The story is Mole Music. You would enjoy it.

Hope you enjoyed the book.

Love,
Elaine

Hi Carmen:

I went to a concert at Waholi with Carolyn Moore.

Two choirs came over from Oahu. One was middle school and the other mature singers.

All the singing was in Hawaiian. Their voices were perfect pitch and so in tune they sounded like musical instruments.

The faces of the children looked like the united nations. Every combination of facial features and coloring....a rainbow of smiles. I never realized how beautiful each person is in their own way.

I prayed for you while I was listening to them sing. I couldn't help but thing of all the music and happiness your life has given to so many of us

There hasn't been an update of your post.
with love,
Elaiine
