Girls in Malibu

Just spent a week in Malibu at Charlous house on the beach. Everyday I took walks, saw good friends (about 15), from grade school, high school, and even had breakfast with Monseignor Sheridan and Sister Mary from my old Catholic school; Our Lady of Malibu. It was very rejuvenating and healing to see everyone and reconnect. I was really blessed to be able to be picked up and delivered to Malibu by Robin, and then driven home by my daughter Kelly and grandson Sean.
I finished my second round of chemo this morning, and didn't feel as nauseated and my doctor thinks I'm doing well and getting the old 'life force' back. Still have pain in my abdomen though.

Hi Carmen,
What a great picture… you, Trisha, Kathie, and Bonnie all look so fantastic! That little cutie in the picture must be Kathie's grandbaby... how sweet she looks.
Indeed, you are blessed; you are surrounded and supported by loving, wonderful friends and family. Please know I’m thinking of you and sending you warm thoughts.

Howdy Carmen,
Please remember, you always tell me that you want to hear stories. -- Rick and I are going to the 4th annual Ironstone Vineyards BBQ Competition today. We have a friend competing. He and his son are team “Carolina Qs” and the will be cooking pork butt (?) and other delicious grilled fare! We’ve never gone to Ironstone; it’s two hours from our house in the Sierra foothills, a place called Murphy, so this should be quite an adventure.
Also I wanted to share this passage with you, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” Colossians 3:12-17
Please know…
We love you, Vicki and Rick
