LATEST CT SCAN

Hi Bloggers,
So far, this is the best report:
Date of Exam: Sept. 28, 2007
Name of Exam: CT Chest-Abdomen-Pelvis with contrast
Comparison: a CT of the chest fom 05/04/07 and CT of the chest, abdomen and pelvis from 08/01/06

Findings: Since the CT scan of 05/04/07, a large right pleural effusion has almost completely resolved. There is some minimal fluid present at the lung base and there is a small amount of fluid in the major fissure, slight subsegmental atelectasis at the right bases. There is mild nodularity of the posterior pleural surface. No pulmonary nodules are identified. The left lung remains clear.
The images of the mediastinum show no adenopathy. there is normal enhancement of the aorta and pulmonary arteries. No axillary adenopathy is present. There is no free fluid. Bowel loops are unremarkable.

Impression: Since the CT scan of 05/04/07, there has been almost complete reexpansion of the right lung, minimal residual fluid seen at the right base. There is very mild nodularity along the pleural surface. Compared with the prior CT scan, the degree of nodularity appears less, although nodules are not as well visuallized on the prior study because of the adjacent fluid. THERE IS NO NEW MASS.
CT of the abdomen and pelvis shows post operative changes, NO EVIDENCE FOR METASTATIC DISEASE OR ADENOPATHY.

AMEN.
CARMEN

Is this Steve and Helen Clarke?
Thank you for leaving a note for me. I'm in Kauai until my house sells, and as you know it's a slow market right now, so meanwhile, I will be renting my house and sending my stuff to Calif. near Quincy in Mountain View, until I can work out the details to live there. I miss my family! How's Jim, et al?
love,
Carmen

Hi Carm... Goood talking to you the other day. You really seem in good spirits. All sounds good. We are tucked into the house because of all the smoke. I'm getting pretty antsy having to stay inside with all the windows closed but I really feel lucky that we aren't being threatened with the fire. I can't even imagine how scary it must be for those in the line of the fire. We went though it in topanga...remember??It is crazy here right now. All these nut cases who start these fires. How can they do this?? Altogether too strange and sad. Love you Buhn... xoxoo Trisha
